The Amish doubled every 20 years after they abandoned the state’s fertility plan. About 5,000 in 1920 to more than 421,000 now. 6 kids per woman, nearly 4x the US average, and about 85% stay in the church. No baby bonuses, no state daycare, no paid leave. After 1965, they could opt out of Social Security and Medicare. In 1972, the Court let them pull their kids out of high school. Hungary and South Korea are burning billions on babies. The Amish built theirs on faith, early marriage, and big families.
