Chicago cop who shot black teen never disciplined despite 18 complaints

The New York Post reports:
The white Chicago cop who was charged with first-degree murder for gunning down a black teen was the subject of 18 civilian complaints over 14 years — but had never been disciplined, records show.

Record show that Officer Jason Van Dyke, 37, denied every allegation made against him over the years, which range from complaints about excessive force to using racial slurs during a search.

In one case, a 41-year-old black man accused the cop and his partner of slamming him onto the hood of his vehicle, then shoving him into a police car during a traffic stop on July 9, 2007.
Imagine that.
