Mass Convicts poised for disability bucks

The Boston Herald reports:
A Level-3 sex offender, a cocaine trafficker and a repeat drunken driver who killed a teacher — all former Bay State public employees serving jail time — are set to pocket thousands in taxpayer-funded disability benefits once they are set free, a Herald investigation found.

Family members of victims are outraged that the convicted felons didn’t have their tax-free lifetime benefits stripped.

But under Massachusetts law, that’s how the system works.
