Al Gore sex charges investigated before: Portland Tribune chose not to publish a story after interviewing alleged victim and others

The Portland Tribune reports:

Allegations reported by the National Enquirer that former Vice President Al Gore was accused four years ago of assaulting a Portland massage therapist were investigated by the Portland Tribune in 2007 and 2008, although the newspaper chose at that time not to publish a story.
