Flashback 1980: Alderman Ed Burke, Rally for Cook County States Attorney: Chicago Mob Associate Michael J. Corbitt Stands in Front Row

Flickr reports:
Taken with 35mm film.

Burke was an unsuccessful candidate for State's Attorney against Richard M. Daley (the current Mayor) in 1980. At the time Burke was aligned with Daley's rival, Mayor Jane Byrne.

Note: in the front row - next to the cameraman is the late Willow Springs, IL. Police Chief (1973-1981) Michael J. Corbitt who was later convicted in conspiracy to commit the murder of Diane Masters and was sent to prison for 20 years in 1989. He died at the age of 60 from lung cancer in 2004.

Four people to the left of Corbitt is former Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Morgan Finley. He was convicted of taking a $25,000 bribe and was sent to prison for 10 years.
Here's more on Chicago Mob associate Michael Corbitt who was extremely close to Chicago Mob boss Sam Giancana.
