New figures show unemployment rates across Illinois jumped last month.No word yet from the Obama campaign on this one.Anyway,the new Cook County sales tax increase couldn't be timed worse.
Cook County's unemployment rate rose to 7.6 percent in June - almost a full percentage point jump in just one month. Each of the collar counties also saw a rise, and the trend continues across the state.
