Mayor Daley's School Chief Says Chicago Is the Role Model

Crain's Chicago Business reports:
Mayor Richard Daley and Duncan earlier this week called Chicago "a national model for urban education," and often tout the system's rising test scores, attendance and graduation rates.
Could we make this up? 69% of Chicago public school students are getting free lunches. While 46%,in a recent survey drop out.Role model for the nation? When Mayor Daley had a chance, he chose to send his kids to Catholic schools. No word yet on whether Chicago School Chief Arne Duncan is sending his kids to the "nation's role model".
