Chicago marks deadliest day by gunfire in more than a decade. Obama Regime Voters Get Violent. 13 Dead and 21 Wounded.

It has been a deadly start to September in Chicago, with at least 13 people fatally shot over 36 hours across the city this week.

Nine of those killings occurred on Wednesday, including the apparent accidental shooting death of an 11-year-old boy. That appears to be the deadliest day in Chicago since July 5, 2003, when there were 10 homicides, according to a Tribune analysis of records kept by the Chicago Police Department.

The burst of violence began late Tuesday afternoon when a teen was killed in Riis Park in the Belmont Central neighborhood, where a 16-year-old boy had been killed and a 15-year-old boy wounded less than two months ago.

Less than five hours later, a 16-year-old boy was killed and two people were wounded in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said. About a half-hour later and about 3 miles away, a 25-year-old man was killed. Two hours after that in Uptown, two men were killed.

By early Thursday morning, the toll had risen to at least 13 dead and 21 wounded, high even for a weekend when gun violence normally spikes.

No word yet on this story from "progressives" concerned about the Confederate flag.
